This book is a good introduction, but it skips over a lot of details that are important for the elementary understanding of the material. Some things the authors assume that the student knows which makes parts of the material a little more difficult to get through.Nevertheless a good and understandable approach to the study of fluids, mass and heat transfer concepts.
The text is short and concise, but I wouldn't recommend it for self studying. It doesn't have much detailed explanations for the example problems.
I use this book as an excellent complement to other two which I think best. I am referring to the classic B. S. L. (Transport Phenomena) and specially, Slattery (Advanced Transport Phenomena) which is far more rigorous. But this book has great problems and a help system for preparing Power Points of the lectures that is very good. It has the advantage of being a bit simpler than B. S. L. and, for an undergradate course, it can be very useful. Moreover, it is very didatic and easy to follow.

This is an excellent resource for fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and momentum transfer.

Just get the Bird and Stewart book.
This textbook, simply put, is poorly written. It assumes that the reader knows quite a bit more than they should, especially if used in an undergraduate course.
