INTRODUCTION We are sex addicts. Our addiction nearly destroyed our lives, but we found freedom through the recovery program of Sex Addicts Anonymous. In the fellowship of SAA, we discovered that we are not alone and that meeting regularly together to share experience, strength, and hope gives us the choice to live a new life. Our addictive sexual behavior was causing pain―to ourselves, our friends, and our loved ones. Our lives were out of control. We may have wanted to quit, making promises and many attempts to stop, yet we repeatedly failed to do so. For each of us, there came a moment of crisis. When we finally reached out for help, we found recovery through the program of SAA. We have found, through long and painful experience, that we are unable to achieve recovery from sexual addiction through our own efforts. Our program is based on the belief, confirmed by our experience, that a Power greater than ourselves can accomplish for us what we could not do alone. By surrendering our addiction to a Higher Power, we receive the gift of recovery, one day at a time. Sex Addicts Anonymous is a spiritual program based on the principles and traditions of Alcoholics Anonymous. Although we are not affiliated with AA or any other organization, we are deeply grateful to AA for making our recovery possible. Our primary purpose is to stop our addictive sexual behavior and to help others recover from sexual addiction. We find a new way of living through the SAA program, and carry our message to others seeking recovery. Membership is open to all who have a desire to stop addictive sexual behavior. There is no other requirement. Our fellowship is open to women and men, regardless of age, race, religion, ethnic background, marital status, or occupation. We welcome members of any sexual identity or orientation, whether they are gay, lesbian, straight, bisexual, or transgender. In our groups, there is a collective wisdom that has grown and been handed down over the years. We learn many new solutions to old problems. Central to these are the Twelve Steps, a spiritual program of recovery. This fellowship saved my life. I was circling the drain before I came into SAA. The program is very simple (in a complicated sort of way), and I recommend it to anyone that has any question about their behavior. If you come to the rooms and determine that you do not have a problem, you have only wasted a couple of hours. If you do have issues, and choose not to deal with them, I can assure you that in my life this disease has been very progressive, and it only gets harder to find your way out as time marches on.

I was waiting for the full series to come out before I bought this version, the QR codes are fun, but after a while, I forgot about pulling my phone out to do that and just played the album while I read instead. LIGHTS said there might be more to the story, so I'll be ready to buy the next volume if she decides on that.

I am in love with the characters and the story.

I never review things but I had to review this. I've been a huge fan of Lights since her first studio album. This was a great concept and fit so well with her album. I couldn't put this down; I can't wait to see more!

This is a concept graphic novel joined with Lights' concept album of the same name, and the package is well crafted and interesting.I can't comment in any useful way on the album except to say that I've sampled all of the tracks and they complement the novel well and, judging from comments and reviews, have been very well received by fans. The novel has a table of contents that ties each track to a chapter in the novel as a listening guide, and I always think that's a clever and sort of funky bonus.Anyway, as to the novel, it seemed to me that you could read it literally as an apocalyptic fantasy adventure, or metaphorically as a take on a young woman's journey to self discovery and empowerment, (or, here's an idea - both ways).Enaia Jin lives in a city divided into concentric circles, with the inner circle the most poisoned and despoiled, and other circles leading eventually to a city of grace, beauty and ease. The damage has been caused by a vaguely described but typical rapacious and evil corporation. En is led first by a lover and then by a mystical spirit sort to discover the foundation and history of this ruined world and then to be challenged to do something about it. NO SPOILERS, but En's journey involves betrayal, confusion, double-crosses, misdirection, twists and surprises. The twists are especially clever and imaginative, and for such a familiar overall premise there are still some surprises to be found in this telling.There are plot holes here and there and some jumps and bumpy parts, but the storytelling struck me as generally clear, fair, and comprehensible. Lights doesn't hide out in artsy-fartsy mumbo jumbo. She is both trying to make some points, (about stress, turmoil, doubt, outsiderness, responsibility, trust), and set out a substantial fantasy adventure that is empowering and inspirational. Fine by me.The artwork struck me as serviceable. Pencils and inks are clear and colors are a bit muted. While the panels and spreads aren't ever drop dead arresting, that doesn't seem to be the point. The art frames and illustrates the story, which is, after all, its main job.So, this didn't strike me as a vanity project, which is sometimes what you get with these multi-media concept undertakings. En's journey is interesting and well told, and Lights does a nice job keeping it all together. Not only does each track of her album refer to part of the comic book, but the comic itself has QR codes within to link you to her music and bonus features. This makes reading a whole new level - one that I adored. Is there really anything Lights cannot do? There are all these gorgeous little world building details in the panels, and at the heart of the comic is so much more.

"Time only matters in places where it runs out."This was pretty cool. And Lights is a pretty amazing artist. (That’s her name. Lights. In case you didn’t get that.)But this is more an experience than a comic.First of all, the comic was a different and creative take on the dystopian world. The story pulls you along with some great art to match. But it’s pretty amazing when you realize that the writer also drew and inked the book.Oh, and she also wrote the soundtrack to the book. Love this book. We are cat people and love things cat so this book was a purrfect addition. It would simply be a cat-astrophe to not get it. Who doesn't love kittens pouncing anyway. Plus it was a lot of pictures, not just a dinky ten or so pages but a good hefty amount of kittens, like a meow-tain of kittens. I loved seeing all the kittens names too, definitely some creative ones in there.

I looked forward to it cause I bought it for myself as a new year gift. And when it arrived I think I went to heaven!The kittens presented in the book are so adorable! I love the book so much and cherish it to my heart.The book is a bit bigger than I thought which is good. The reason I gave only 4 stars is because many photos are too small. The book is not full-page photo, only some are full page which is too bad.Beside this minor disappointment, the book is PHENOMENON. Especially, the cover. It becomes my "vision symbol" of "reaching to your highest dream without fear". Therefore I place the book on my dining table so I can look at the cover everyday as the source of inspiration.If I could find the copyright photo in high-res I would make it to the wall art so I can see it everyday.PS. So happy to know that all little brave kittens in the book are rescued and adopted. This makes this book more meaningful than ever.

The cutest book ever! We love it. This one was for us, now we'll have to order more as gifts. :) Love the photos, the adorable cats, it's just so darn cute!!!!!! ahhh!

This book is exactly what it appears to be (a book of photos of kittens pouncing with various contexts/angles) and it is marvelous. Other than a 2 page introduction about the making of the book and fostering/caring for cats, there is virtually no text, although the names of the the kittens are featured on each page, which is fun. I have it sitting on a living room end table, along with Blackwell's 'Love and Life of Cats'. The book's dimensions are smaller than the latter, roughly 8.5"x10"x1/2".

A beautifully done book of awesome kittens in action. I bought this book for my mother, who is suffering from Alzheimer's, as she loves to look at pictures of animals. She found each kitten "so cute" or so precious". I know this isn't a normal reason for getting the book, but it's wonderful.

I bought this for the Easter Bunny to give my cat loving daughter. She loved all things cat! She didn't really love this book though. She barely flipped through it. Made a couple of comments about the cute kittens and that was it. Has not picked it up since. I personally didn't really find it to be anything special either.

Some of the best cat pictures I've seen. And I spend an inordinate amount of my time looking at pictures of cats. Great holiday gift right here!

Seth has done it again. We've loved his dog books, and now his kitty book. What patience it must take to wait and snap at just the right time. The kittens are adorable.

The Amazon Reviews on this book are similar to the writing style of this author: full of hyperbole and not enough substance. Granted, there are some good points (don't bet an underdog unless you think they can win, the "spread score," schedules, weather and playing surfaces), but enough already... I kept waiting for the author to talk about beating the point spread and betting ATS (against the spread). No mention of parlays, teasers, or over/under? I'm sure this author is too much a "sharp" to discuss those pedestrian points (for suckers no doubt), but I bought this book to read about gambling, not endless reviews of games in the past, his previous predictions and general NFL knowledge.

This is a superb book on the art of football handicapping. The author presents numerous handicapping techniques and illustrates them with concrete examples. Were you shocked by Seattle dismantling Denver in the 2013 Super Bowl? You wouldn't have been if you'd read the preface to this book. Remember when Bill Parcells took over as head coach of the Dallas Cowboys and rattled off a 5-2 SUATS record to start the season? You'll know why (and how you could have profited from it) when you read chapter 16. This book belongs in the library of anyone who is interested in making money from investing in football. Don't trust anyone who tells you otherwise.

This is one of the best books on football handicapping. It contains many novel betting angles you wont find anywhere else. The section on graphing a teams performance against the spread over the course of the season is worth the price of the book alone. The section of money management is mathematically correct. Almost all authors promote Kelly betting (varying the size of your bet) which will bankrupt you no matter how good your handicapping. The only flaw in the book is that the author does not show you how to create your own line. The books by J.R. Miller and Dan Gordon are the only ones that show you how to create a line.

Best book I have read about this subject. I especially enjoyed Mr. Smiths rebuke of 95% of lame stream sports media TV stations and Writers. I went to church with a man who played for the Denver Broncos in the 70s when they lost the Superbowl to the Cowboys. This ex player filled me in on the medias sole purpose of hyping games for the public to get more ratings.Great book and highly recommend. Plus, the Author has a very humorous entertaining writing style.

A couple of years back, I purchased the first edition of this book, & was very pleased to see the second edition on Amazon! This book is laced with humor & intellect! This book is contains legitimate systems & theories that can be proven to be successful. I personally, researched some of Bobby's claims about the 5.2 ATS margin theory & found it to be a profitable system netting a 58.2% to 61% success rate from 2009-2013. Also, if you focus on his 5.2 ATS & tweak it with his theory on neg. turnover ratios, one can get a success rate of 64.8%. This is just from one chapter! Thank you Bobby for your insight. I enjoyed the book.

The problem with this book is that it does not flow well. It is just a series of multiple choice questions with answers. Even the subject matter for the questions is not arranged in a sequential manner. That means that you might have to bounce all around to learn about a particular topic and even then it just gives the answer to the question rather than educate. What I did was photocopy sections and carried them with me for airplane reading or while waiting for someone.If you want to practice questions the better option is to download the ABFM app for your phone or tablet and also do the questions on the AAFP web site. These questions are blueprints for the Boards.Here is what I did:1.Bought an older edition (2016) of Current Medical Diagnosis and read selected important topics.2.Did all the Board review questions on the AAFP web site. ( This is free for members)3.Downloaded the ABFM app and did a couple of 10 question sets every morning.(The app is free)4. Downloaded the in-service tests with answers for the past 3 years from the ABFM web site. ( This is free too)5. Yes, I did plod through this book also but it was the least helpful.I received a high score in the Boards...and I saved the money that I would have spent going to a Board prep course !

I am so glad I chose this book to prepare (cram) tor the ABFM exam. Took my exam two days ago and answered a lot of questions correctly because similar ones were covered here. If I could do it all over again, I would have just started studying sooner so I could have gone through the entire book.

I used this as my primary sudy guide for the exam in November 2017. In addition I used the MKSAP 16 books to review internal medicine subjects. I purchased the MKSAP books on eBay.MKSAP 16 books were very helpful.I started about 8 weeks out from the exam reading and highlighting different chapters within this book. I reread several chapters again and highlighted in a different color.I used the ABFM website to access the in-service exams. I did 4 of these exams as a prep and to get an idea of the type of questions.The exam questions themselves were written quite different from the in-service exams. The in-service exams are helpful but should not be used as the only source for studying.I did quite well on the exam. I walked out of the exam very unsure if I even passed it. I don't believe that the exam reflects what knowledge and experience is really needed to be a family medicine physician.

I purchased this to aid studying for my family medicine boards. I purchased this in january of 2017, and went through it in 2 months, and kept track of anything I did not feel comfortable with and researched that more thoroughly on uptodate. I also took 3 intraining exams and did 600+ questions in addition to this. I received my results and passed, and indeed did better than I did when I initially certified. I think that this book was quite thorough, and hit on a lot of highlights in family medicine and was quite useful for review. However, I would also supplement review with the intraining exams and previous board questions (which are available as an app) as well. I would say that reviewing the various societies' guidelines is also quite useful. Overall I am very glad I purchased this, as I can continue to have my certification and work. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to do a self study for review.

I just took the board exam on 11/15/16. I used the 4th edition of Graber and Wilbur as my only exam prep and I am so grateful. Almost everything that came up on the test was reviewed, and often given emphasis, in this book. 7 years ago I took a board review course and I would say that this is the better, and far less expensive, way to go. I also feel like I learned a ton of clinically important material. I have been in solo practice the past 6 years and my knowledge base had definitely been getting somewhat stale. I greatly appreciated the authors' attempts to keep a sense of humor throughout the book, because let's face it, studying for the boards is a dry endeavor.I can not recommend this book enough. Good luck on your boards!

This is the second time I have used this book for my Board Review. My most recent Board test was after I had been working in a less-generalized practice for multiple years, so I was a little worried about knowing what I needed to know to pass the test. I used this book along with the AAFP Board Review course - 2 excellent sources. I passed with a comfortable cushion. This book was informative, funny, and I would definitely purchase it again.
