A very different story from author Donna Jay from her usual stories. A YA story of being bullied and traumatized , finding a first love, and coming out as a lesbian. Highly recommend this story that I think many of us can relate to. loved it.

The torture Katie experienced was a great part of this story.Finding Gillian was the best thing in her life. Introducing other characters into the story added the believability to the storyline. Especially Nana!

I was bullied a lot growing up so I had an understanding with Katie. This story was well thought out and handle with care. Donna Jay did amazing job!!

Donna Jay's latest, "Bitter Sweet Revenge," is a real page-turner! I read it in one quick sitting. It's a real departure from her previous work and I applaud her for that! It is unlike any other book of hers, in story, in type, in tone, and in style. This book is about the trials and tribulations of a young woman who lost her innocence and naïveté on the most promising day of her life. That fateful day that would forever change how she viewed the world around her. Harrowing, intense, reflective, contemplative, Katie's road to facing her fears, obtaining peace, truth, reconciliation and ultimately experiencing the beginnings of love and hope was paved with delicate care and sensitivity, constructed at a deliberate pace. I was moved and captivated by Jay's honesty and conviction in weaving a story that felt utterly personal, inspiring, resonating, deeply relevant and thought-provoking.Bullying - Fear - Trials and Retribution - Self-Discovery - Self-Reflection - Self-Actualisation - Facing the Truth - Coming Out - Letting Go - Moving On....& Finally...LOVE + ROMANCE + TRUTH + HOPE + POSITIVITYIt was 1985. Somewhere in New Zealand. Katie, just finishing her school certificate exam before the end of the school year, was still very much deep in the closet. I was reminded that in the 80s, people coming out and being gay were hard, very hard, especially when it was the era of AIDS or "gay disease." Homosexuality was a disease and everyone feared it. It was always an abstract subject matter for me especially in the context of student behaviour toward it in schools. I mean, I'd watched movies and TV shows about the matter set in the 80s but to read about it was an entirely different experience for me. Words. They seep into the mind so much more potently, don't they? At least they do for me because me mind immediately transforms the words into unfiltered, uncensored images (unlike those much more doctored/edited ones shown on-screen) based on how they affect me sense of imagination and preconception. Jay's richly described words to depict body language, behaviour, attitudes, and situations were affecting, to say the least.Anyway, back to Katie. As soon as Jay introduced the three so-called "in-crowd" popular girls into Katie's life as the story began, alarm bells sounded very loudly in the deep recesses of me mind. As soon as those girls invited Katie for a drive and hang out with them after their exam that day, which Katie (bless her innocence and desire to be included into the fold of acceptance!) happily accepted, I was holding on to the edge of me seat, white-knuckled! I kept muttering to meself, "This isn't gonna end well!" as I read page after page nervously. It was like watching an innocent lamb slowly being led to slaughter....willingly, no less! What made this long scene so intense was how Jay so meticulously constructed its pacing of every angle, every laughter, every push, every word uttered, every motion... The suspense was killing me with anticipation! I loved that Jay described Katie's endless internal battle with her own instincts that something was terribly wrong with the picture she was thrust into with her "new" popular mates. At that moment, I was struck by humans' innate desire to belong, this need to be a part of this social construct, a behaviour frequently observed amongst students in school - cliques, in-crowds. Katie's deep desire to finally be accepted into the "social norm" via a popular group after years of feeling like an outcast, trumped her instincts of self-preservation and protectionism, as succinctly described by Jay.Every stage of Katie's interaction with the trio, from their car ride to the remote location they chose to hang out in, was depicted with intentional stride so that Katie's questioning mind became more acutely felt by the reader, making it more intense. The moment the four of them were seated together, the subsequent scenes began to "play out" in slow motion, at least to me, when I slowly, just like Katie, realised the worst. At that point, I was expecting the worst and I felt meself slowly pulling away (I really did not wanna discover any presence of you-know-who on those pages describing that scene!). But thankfully, Jay didn't focus on the impending act (which turned out to be something drastically different than what I expected, but still shocking nevertheless because of reasons you'll know when you read it - I will never understand the cruelty of people to instigate such inhumane acts, just because of someone's sexuality, especially when they're of the same gender as the impending target). But rather, Jay set her sights on Katie's mental state of mind, her frenzied thoughts, her natural instinct to escape her predators, at that pivotal moment of a potential cataclysm of her life. The sheer fear and desperation in Katie were described in such vivid detail, I could feel her safety slipping away. So when the moment came when Katie realised and decided that she wasn't just going to take anything without a fight, I literally jumped out of me seat with utter elation, cheering her on at every move! The entire scene was depicted with such raw intensity and fervour, it was like watching everything unfold on-screen! This scene alone, garners this book a must-read. I'd not read anything written so efficaciously before that didn't have anything to do with the violent act BUT the psychological and emotional aspect and impact of a physically violent scene. That approach, to me, was so much more effective, creating a much more potently lasting impression, imo. Well done, Ms. Jay!The aftermath of Katie's horrendous ordeal marked the start of her journey of retribution, taking back her own life that was paralysed with fear, self-doubt, depression and zero self-esteem. All the psychological effects that Katie experienced after such a traumatically life-altering event were deftly portrayed, including the fear that wasn't just of the perpetrators seeking another go at her but the deep-seated fear that her parents would find out about her sexuality. I was gratified by Jay's methodical approach in depicting Katie's PTSD, which was always whispering in the background throughout her journey. It showed that trauma such as Katie's has a long-term impact. This is where a little support goes a long way to recovery. In Katie's case, it was her brother, Simon. I absolutely adored him. He reminded me so much of me own sister who'd defend and protect me to the death, no questions asked. So, I related to Katie and Simon's relationship very much and was so glad that Katie had a safe outlet she found in Simon. That knowledge, I thought, gave Katie the ammunition to begin her retribution on those who wronged her. To say that it wasn't thrilling to read about what she planned, with that sense of "You go, girl! Make them sorry!" hovering would be a lie. I was Katie's ultimate cheerleader as she came up with some really creative ideas on each of them! Mind, I'm not one who condones violence or any kind of physical attack. It's so easy to judge, out of context or in an abstract, innit? But when something as traumatic as what happened to Katie happens to oneself, I think our perspective, our sense of justice, shift, don't they? And that mindset is aptly personified by Gillian, who would slowly but surely become Katie's love as the story developed and progressed further.Let me just say, though, that Katie's retribution was not what you might think, at least not its essence. Katie's crippling fear that she felt in the aftermath of the incident left a deep scar in her inner psyche, which was the catalyst to her PTSD. That kind of deeply personal emotive substance that had infected her sense of well-being, in time, and because deep down, she was a strong character, thanks to the love and support she always had from her parents, especially her brother, she was able to finally face up her fear and handle it head-on. Karma is truly a bitch. Again, it's not what you think! I won't divulge it here because the entire process of Katie finally being able to confront her perpetrators, complete with bouts of PTSD flare-ups, needs to be read so the impact can be felt directly. Jay's utterly fervent description of every sequence during each confrontation was what made Katie's way of looking at fear in the eye and kicking it into the abyss through her perpetrators so powerful and compelling. Deeply stirring.Sidenote: That's why a little love, encouragement, and support to a person who's been bullied, or ill-treated by peers or other people, go a long, long way. It doesn't have to be done in a grand manner. A person only needs an acknowledgement, a reassurance that they are worthy, that they matter, that it gets better, to catapult their previously defeated spirit into action - persevere, live, let go, move on.Speaking of Gillian, I LOVED her! She was the polar opposite of Katie in every way. Unlike Katie's fear of being found out to be a lesbian, Gillian was totally living out and proud. Whereas Katie was still too afraid to tell her parents about her sexuality, Gillian's sexuality had total support of her parents and family who loved her unconditionally. Whereas Katie was shy and introverted, Gillian was not. That contrast between these two young souls that played out was so fascinating to discover and explore. Gillian's courage, confidence and self-worth, her attitude and behaviour toward homophobes and undesirables, her persistent optimism and positivity eventually rubbed off on Katie. I loved exploring Katie's mental and emotional shift, from fearing rejection from her parents if she came out to them, her defeatist attitude toward finding love, to feeling determined and steadfast in coming out to them when she finally accepted that she belonged - within herself and with her newfound love, her first love, Gillian. Love does the most interesting and unexpected things, doesn't it?There were two moments that were memorable to me. The first one was the scene between Katie and Tracy (one of the perpetrators). What conspired in that moment when these two women faced off was utterly moving, heartbreaking but also spiritual and inspiring. The power of truth and reconciliation. At that point, I truly empathised with Tracy. Although the scene was from Katie's POV, Jay's construction of their dialogue allowed me to "see" a little bit into Tracy's inner psyche, which took me to the beginning, the root cause of her action, which obviously wasn't depicted in the book, but the suggestive nature during her encounter with Katie allowed me the luxury of making me own interpretation. Fascinating albeit tragic. I thought Tracy's character played a contributing role to Katie's self-reflection and introspective process of finally letting go and moving on with her life with a sense of hope, truth, honesty, peace and the freedom to love.The other memorable moment was a joyous, uplifting scene, which, I thought truly epitomised the entire journey of Katie's in this story - fear, truth, reconciliation and love. In essence, COMING OUT - in every sense of the term and its many representations of meaning - coming out to face fear, coming out to speak the truth, coming out to reconcile every contemplation, and lastly, coming out to LOVE. Innit? The big pre-Christmas dinner with everyone at the table. What transpired in the scene was intense, tentative, nervy, suspenseful and a welcome surprise, which ended in me heart feeling full, utter joy and happiness for Katie. A true testament to what unconditional love means - family or loved ones. Beautifully described, depicted and laid out by Jay's earnest words.And the sweet romance between Katie and Gillian? Awww...a BIG ICING on the cake, if I must say so meself! Adorable pairing, too! Read and tell me I'm wrong!So all in all, I absolutely enjoyed this emotional roller-coaster of a story, written with conviction and heart, of a harrowing journey that ultimately ended with a fantastically hopeful message filled with love and positivity! I was a little nervous reading a story with bullying involved. But I’ve read every book Donna has out & I knew she wouldn’t push my buttons, too hard! I’m glad I took a chance on this one. Katie has a spark of hope that maybe she has finally gotten in good with the “In crowd” at her school. She is floating on cloud 9, thinking about all the possibilities that may be opening up for her. Only to have that cloud turn black when the group she’s asked to join has other plans for her at the river! Katie survives that day, but the memories haunt her and when the opportunity for revenge shows itself, will she take it or stay in her shell. Finding a new job and sharing her experience with her brother help her overcome the darkness of that cloud. New friends appear and a new villain enters the story. Will getting revenge be sweet or will it lead to bitterness? The events in this book could’ve been darker, but Donna has written them in such a way that there really aren’t any of the usual triggers, that could be found in a book with bullying involved. I was bullied in school because of my last name. Not by my classmates, but at other schools when participating in sporting events. I think everyone will find a bit of themselves in this story. And when the red headed Gillian appears you will find the HEA we all look for in a good story!

Donna Jay’s newest book is a departure from what she normally writes. If you have read Jay before you know she mostly writes steamy and erotic-romances, usually with light BDSM. If you have shied away from trying her books before (I know some people don’t like to read BDSM) now is a chance to try her writing. This book is completely different as a YA coming out story. For me personally, I did like her books a Ticket To Love and Mistaken Identity better, but that is because I’m not the biggest YA fan and I like Jay’s heat in her erotic-romances. But even with me not being a big YA fan I still enjoyed this. The story hooked me in early and I enjoyed this read.This story is about the life of Katie from age 15-18. Katie is deep in the closet but still finds herself the target of bullies. After surviving a vicious attack Katie sees only two options in front of her. Hide away and let the world slip by, or get revenge. Which path will Katie take and will the chance of love change her options?While an attempted sexual assault and some mild violence are not easy to read about, this is not a dark book. This is a story about growth, hope and acceptance back in the 80’s where the aids crisis caused homophobia to be rampant. This is about a young girl trying to figure out where she belongs. There was also some lite humor which helped keep the book on the sweet side.This does have a romance but it’s a sweet YA romance. Like I said before I did miss that heat of Jay’s other books but the characters are underage for most of the book and it would have been uncomfortable if they were constantly hot and heavy. Instead the relationship was sweet and you had hope that these two would make it together.I’m a fan of Jay’s and will read any books she writes. I appreciate she took a chance on something different. I thought this was a well written sweet YA romance. If you are a YA fan or a Jay fan, I think you will be happy with this.

Like most books from the descendants series this one is unique and quirky. Love how they did the little notes from different villain kids inside about different things. Had a really good scrapbook vibe that made it fun to read to my daughter and inspired me to start her scrapbook again.

This e-book, How To Make Whiskey: A Step-by-Step Guide to Making Whiskey, was bought by me as a Kindle Edition. Bryan Davis has given up a nice read, and for the price some good information concerning the making of Whiskey. I don't plan to make my own whiskey, I just purchased it for the knowledge. If one is interested in doing this, I imagine they already know the making of whiskey as an detailed endeavor and that they will surely need a bit of experience. The equipment for distillation is quite involved and one will need some cash outlay and a fairly large area for this process. The book is interesting and sheds a lot of information on what it takes to make your own whiskey.

More of a long article or a phamplet than a book. Very basic knowkedge, only a few recipes with no theory or explination, no illustrations. As a homebrewer, I am spoiled with dozens of great books on brewing (Joy of Homebrewing, Designing Great Beers, anything by Jamil or Daniels etc.) but so far, the books on home distilling have been a huge collective disappointment. I can google much better information for free.

Instructions that tell you to heat ingredients "one or two hours" leaves you wondering how cook time will effect the end product. Telling the reader to "add yeast" makes the reader wonder how much? What kind of yeast? This book combined with other online resources is ok but don't expect to make spirits without some guess work if you use this book as a single resource.

$15 for a (nearly) 90 page book that generalizes everything to such a small scale (despite all the warnings given in the intro about how dangerous this can be). Mostly gives you a general idea of distilling, nothing goes in depth, and lots of repeating paragraphs (which would be ideal if this was written as a true reference book with more science backing it up).

Very quick read, but full of good quick practical information. If you already know something about brewing and distilling, it's a good book that add's knowledge. The guy is credible, and has good advice. He doesn't spend a single extra sentence over-qualifying himself, and instead cuts straight to the chase.

I like this book. It covers many of the aspects of whiskey making without getting too carried away in technical jargon. And the jargon used is well explained. From the equipment you need to the recipes for the major whiskey types to used wine barrel preparation, just about everything gets touched on in a writing style that's informative while retaining the right to be humorous and interesting.Why no 5th star? To be blunt: there's a severe lack of depth in some things that is an impediment to exploring whiskey making. For instance, a web link is supplied as one place to look for a still. Unfortunately, the site is very limited in its offering and just running google searches will mostly get you moonshine stills for mounting on your mantle rather than using for any purpose that may or may not be legal in your state. Aging is another area that's glossed over a bit. What's the best environment for aging different kinds of whiskeys? How often should the whiskey be sampled/tested during aging? There's reasons for being skimpy here. In the book, Mr. Davis notes that unless you're going to use a 59-gallon used sherry or bourbon barrel, your results will likely be skewed by things like wood area exposed to the whiskey. And then there's glass aging that he covers, but how much is a "bottle." In short, the information is not as complete as I had hoped. So the loss of a star.But worth what Amazon charges for it, by all means, and a very friendly way to get started.

Easy read with lots of basic information to begin the journey into learning how to make whiskey. Author does get into the science of ester formation and how it influences the taste of whiskey but at a level that is easy to follow and interesting. Few typos but barely noticed them especially as I neared the end of my rye whiskey neat.

I'm a total novice to distilling spirits and I have been looking for a "step-by-step" guide on the distillation of spirits to get me started. This book is the best of the home distilling books I have read. It contains a good assortment of mash recipes, advice and warnings for the novice moonshiner. This guide does get technical and I found that to be a bit intimidating, but distilling is a science as well as an art so be prepared to recall your high school chemistry classes.Whiskey making is an art and art is never created by rote. This guide will serve well to encourage those interested in the art of distilling spirits.

A fun and practical guide peppered with humor and personal accounts. I'm not sure you'd be able to get a still up and running just from reading it, but it gives a ton of information on the process (presented easily) and would be a worthwhile companion to any distilling effort.

I was really looking forward to reading this book, especially since I had just read Bobbie Brown's "Dirty Rocker Boys" Book- which was basically about him. I wanted to get Tommy's point of view about their relationship. But she didn't get one mention from him. Nothing?! Only Pamela mentions "someone named Bobbie Brown." Really? He only was engaged to Bobbie, and had her name tattooed on his neck- which he didn't recommend doing. But as with her, he didn't really go into detail about his relationship with his ex Heather either. It's almost like Pamela had final edit approval (removal) over that.The beginning of the book was just the worst- his private anatomy "talks" and he describes his "skills." Ugh. Aside from that, it's an ok book- he goes from ridiculous to almost down-to-earth, and back again. He was surprisingly close to his parents, but you won't learn too much more about him from this book, oh, and he likes the word "craise."

This is not quite 5 stars for me, but it was well worth my time and the purchase price. I read it over a three day period and I got tons of enjoyment out of it. I'm really glad that I read this book to get Tommy's personal take on several different things that happened to him, especially being married to Heather Locklear and Pamela Anderson. I was also interested in Tommy's account of going to jail, about a young boy that sadly died in his pool, and the passing of his father, being raised by his parents etc. Of course, many other great topics and stories are covered. I think a better rating would be about 4.6 stars, because that represents a percentage of the book that I totally enjoyed. The .4 remaining I sometimes felt was rather dumb, but it's not a big deal. I got many good giggles from the entertaining way Tommy expresses himself. I am familiar with Anthony Bozza and he does an excellent job finding the voice of the person he's writing for. I really felt that the writing style was completely Tommy talking. I can't guarantee someone else will like this, but it was good for me. It's not exactly the self-improvement type of book that I like to read, but I felt that in my own context of life, I identified with Tommy in a certain way. I've been epically misunderstood, and I think Tommy is misunderstood. The man personifies the idea of a rock star. He's wickedly talented. Post Motley Crue, it's probably true to say that he's the most talented of the four in that bunch. A true artist. Seemingly a lovable guy. That is all. :)

Entertaining, insightful and fun. Glad he didn't do the play by play of motley crue. It's been done to death. The book was about HIM. A lot of reviews complain about the notes from his famous appendage. I found them to be totally tongue in cheek, fitting of his personality. Most of these books are ego trips about all the groupies, this book went in depth about his marriages, kids and the hell he went through in jail. Good, fast read.

I am huge fan of Motley Crue and of Tommy Lee as a drummer. Was disappointed in this. If you know him then you already know that a certain part of his anatomy has been a major part of his life and don't need him talking from his ****'s point of view. Would rather he just talk honestly about his relationships.

To me this seemed like "Let's write a short book and make some fast money." If you're going to write a book, write a book, not just a few chapters of chosen parts of your life. Most guys don't have conversations with our dick, and having it chime in throughout the book made it even worse. His short "responses"to his editor in England only made him sound like a pompous ass. Aside from that, it was great...

First of all that is a straight five-star read. Why? Because those are just one person's thoughts on the life he's lived, and other stuff. Makes sense to either agree or disagree. It's all in the disclaimer, so just give it a quick look before either committing to the story, or walking away.I do have a habit of judging books by either the aftertaste they leave, or the amount of fun I had while reading them. This is by far one of the most fun reads, and I it's amazing, because there are no underdeveloped characters, most of the events are surreal, and overall it was a read worth spending 2 days on (and some bucks).So, if you decide to read it, get used to the fact that sometimes you would think "there it is, you said it, so true", and sometimes you would shake your head no, but you might learn something.It's also partly a more simple, not overdramatic look at the same events from the Dirt, and Heroin Diaries. Anyway, apparently it's time to move on to next autobiography).

I enjoyed this book. It was definitely written in Tommy's voice which made it feel genuine. He's lived a crazy life and was upfront about it and didn't try to make himself look better or like a victim. This book was funny, honest, and made him a lot more relatable in my opinion. If you enjoyed The Dirt you'll probably enjoy this: give it a read.

I love Motley Crue, but this book did not keep my interest. I finished it in hope's it would get better, but it didn't. I've seen Motley Crue several times , and like the book , it seems good at first, like their first show, but like their last show, it only got more boring. But the bad concerts was Vince Neil's for forgetting the words.. Tommy does great live... he should stick to music, not writing.

I've been wanting both of her books for awhile now and I finally splurged and got them both. When I first flipped through this book I was blown away and amazed by the content. This book is the number one resource for helping you along with your Polaroid SX-70 manipulations. She also provides some brief information on transfers and emulsion lifts (If you want to know more you should invest in a copy of her other book "Polaroid Transfers". It is HIGHLY informative. The author guides you step by step and even provides some background information on how the processes were discovered. She also offers a lot of inspirational material in an advanced techniques section of the book. At the end of the book there are artist galleries with drop-dead-gorgeous work!I especially find the handcoloring section of this book to be very helpful. I wasn't really aware that I could add some color to my SX-70 manips. She goes in-depth about each medium that can be used to enhance the color (Prismacolor markers, watercolors, pastels, etc.) She also provides some useful information on how to enhance the Polaroids digitally in Photoshop.I recommend this book highly to anyone who wants to get into the alternative processes with the Polaroid medium. Don't hesitate... get a copy today!

There can be more to a Polaroid print than just the 3 inch white framed square. This is a excellent book to use the prints for other art items both in it's familiar shape or by pulling the print apart. Works great with film cartridges from The Impossible Project too!

I wish polaroid was still in business. Kathleen Carr makes it seem easy to make beautiful images. The new Impossible film is just okay, and very expensive, especially with shipping costs from Germany.

This book is awesome! I wanted to purchase it at a major chain and decided to look here instead. I got 4 books for the price of one! I highly reccomend this if you are interested in excelling at your transfer techniques.

This is a great book ! You simply must add this to your collection ! "Polaroid Manipulations" picks up where Kathleen's wonderful first book, "Polaroid Transfers", left off, offering comprehensive, uncomplicated new techniques for Image and Emulsion Transfers. Additionally exciting is learning about the SX-70 manipulation process. The Digital applications section is so clear and straight forward--it helped reduce my confusion about how to scan my Polaroid art, use Photoshop to enhance it and printing options available. Polaroid manipulation goes high tech, and Kathleen Carr is our guide.

I love this book! It contains everything you need to know to do SX-70 manipulation. There is comprehensive information on the film, all of the available cameras, tools for manipulation, using a Polaroid Daylab to print slides onto SX-70 film (including info on various models of Daylab), handcoloring SX-70 prints and making digital prints of your SX-70 prints. This is the definitve guide to SX-70 manipulation. Everything you need to know about SX-70 is in here.There is also a section on Polaroid image and emulsion transfers. This section contains information that is supplemental to the information in Kathleen Thormod Carr's other book, Polaroid Transfers, so don't consider it a substitute for Polaroid Transfers. There is some redundancy between the two books in that there are step-by-step instructions for how to use various models of Daylab to print onto Polaroid films in both books. The models which are covered are different in the two books, however. Polaroid Manipulations covers Daylab 35 Plus and Daylab 120.Polaroid Manipulations also contains a "gallery" of SX-70 and Polaroid transfers by contemporary artists. And there is a terrific list of resources in the back, so you won't have trouble finding supplies.If you are in a photographic or graphic arts rut, this book will get you out of it! Outstanding!

I have been doing SX-70 manipulations for about 4 years and to this point have been totally self taught. I have looked at some galleries online and had previously wondered how some people were able to achieve such vibrant colors with their work, had their lines squiggle to such a great extent, etc. I now have the answers to all my questions. I am so grateful to Kathleen for writing this book (thank you!).There is so much valuable information in this book that I know I will be using it to expand my skills and experiment with new ideas for years to come. As a nursing instructor I have struggled with how to get my students to get and retain the info they need on meds, without spending hours and hours on med cards they don't remember, nor gain much utility from. I wanted a simple book and this book meets that need only a little. It's a simplistic book, with key highlights on the meds, but it's missing important information like side effects. Plus, frankly the editorial layout of the book seems very poorly thought out. I don't h know who the editor was but the font is incredily small, leaving huge spaces around the text. There's an annoying footer that takes of a significant amount of space on every single page. Their are some pages that are completely blank except for one single bullet point--certainly there was a way to include that on the other page prior. There is one author listed yet early on there's page listing three authors. Frankly, the authors don't seem to have any significant credentials. Not even a BSN is listed for the main author. There's apparently an RN/Pharmacist, working on his CRNA for second author-quite strange. In my decades in heatlh care I have never come across an RN/pharmacist. This book has potential. It's very, very low prices seems to reflect the quality and usefulness.

Meds are not organized by classification or the organ system, so it really isnt very helpful. Similar meds should be grouped together by classification or at least by the system that they are used for (respiratory meds, cardiac meds, etc). There is no structure to the book at all

I really like the layout of this book and how it breaks down all of the drugs so simply and in an easy to understand manner. The reason I didn't give the book 5 stars is because of the numerous amounts of typos that are present in the book. I'm not even through the C's and have found 4 that could have easily been caught by spell check. It makes me cautious with the credibility of the book. But it seems good so far.

Written by a CCRN. Truly must know. No frills binding / paper. Perfect for making notes on the large margins. Small enough to carry in the medical bag.

I purchased the 140 Must Know Meds, 76 Cheat Sheets and the Assessment book. I was disappointed when reviewing the items as it really does make a difference for certain things to be in color. In particular when assessing a patient and looking at the different stages of pressure ulcers etc. Also you really cant see certain things either due to the font or the way it was printed...

Love it. I bought it on my kindle and I can make the font bigger or smaller.

This is a book that every nursing student should have! it's so very informative and filled with so much information. the only downside is the font is a little small

I bought the audible version as i have a commute into school of over an hour. I was excited as i have listened to the NRSNG pod cast frequently and appreciate what they do. The problem with the audible version is the reader, the pronunciations of the drugs are terrible. After listening to the initial trade name they give for the drug and having no idea of what they are talking about, the brand name will give me incite and i can figure it out, but the more i listen the worse the pronunciations get i feel. I've worked in emergency medicine for 4 years now and just he way the reader pronunciates Amiodarone is ridiculous.
