It's absolutely unbelievable how they would even publish such book! They will give you links to malicious website and literally downloading malware on your system!(exp: page 42. Smartphone hacking)

This is a VERY basic book for beginners and does not offer much information as far as how to hack or write your own tools. This book does offer some great information about how to increase your security and gets you to start thinking about how hacks work and how people will use them. Remember guys, stay safe.

Corny cover aside, this is a fun book and an easy read. You won't become a hacker overnight, but you'll be exposed to the readers-digest version of different hacking strategies which is both fascinating and inspiring. It provides a general overview of different types of hacking strategies and is a good forerunner to a more in-depth study on different types of hacks. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is interested in a general overview of hacking.

This is awful. It's full of typos, provides blatantly false information, and even gives you a link to a malicious website.

It took me a while to get to reading this book but it was clearly not worth the read. It skims over the basic history and types of attacks and then spews a bunch of penetration testing tools which will be outdated shortly. There are no true hacking or penetration tips that you couldn’t resolve from common sense or a basic security seminar. This is more of a pamphlet than a book.

I only purchased this book for a class. This book has turned out to be the most beneficial book so far in my education. This has given me enough knowledge to seek other reference material to continue along this track. The author uses figures effectively to communicate his ideas. Thanks!!!!

This book is basically divided into 3 parts, each parts being very important and independent. The first part simply deals with the history and the world of hacking. The second part on the other hand talks about the functional art of hacking various systems. The third part has to do with ethical hacking; what to do and what not to do.It is a very good book with great content. Highly recommended!

Wendy's story is an important story for women to hear. She writes about postpartum OCD, a mysterious and misunderstood condition. The story is easy to follow and I read it fairly quickly to see what would happen next. I like that she included her experience with her second child. Even though the topic sounds depressing, I actually laughed out loud a number of times. Also, I feel all women will relate to some aspect of this story - even if they did not have postpartum anxiety or OCD. I do think Wendy was fortunate to have the resources in her community to support her. Living on Long Island, Wendy had doctors, counselors and support groups who were educated about postpartum OCD. Unfortunately, other women may not find these resources in their community. Having had trouble finding help in my community, I was happy to read her experience. More books like her book will helpfully raise awareness and education.

Great book by an amazing woman who I am proud to call my friend.

Wendi is extremely honest about her experience. She is also very compassionate for those who have and are now going through it. The book was real, personal, and insiteful. I have postpartum OCD and anxiety and she hit it on the head on how it really is. Thanks for writing this to help others, Wendi!

With her candid Jenny McCarthy ("Belly Laughs"/"Baby Laughs") writing style, Isnardi tells it how it is from her pregnancy, to childbirth and to her post partum experience. Holding no punches she tells her story of suffering w/ PPD and the never ending obstacles and battle she had to overcome. Her story inspires you and sends a powerful message that you are not alone and that there is help out there. A great read for anyone and everyone!

I recommend this book to everyone. The author opens up about her personal struggle with PPD and OCD, in a very candid and at the same time funny way. You will cry and laugh, while learning how PPD and OCD can seriously impact a persons life and those around them. This is a book all future moms, expecting moms, moms, and their families should read. You never know when you or someone you love will be affected by PPD.

Eye opening, honest betrayal of the monster PPD. One woman's journey through a nightmare she thought would never end. She needed love understanding and the right professionals to get through this nightmare. The writers humorous personality shines through while reading this memoir. You will laugh and cry and get an education. Great read. A good book for medical professionals as well.

Austrian Ariane Cap is a bassist, pianist, educator, author, blogger, writer and composer living in California. An eclectic and versatile musician, she has covered many styles, live and in the studio. I've been a bass player for 26 years. I've always just followed the root notes and played what I thought sounded good with the songs my bands have written. After reading this book, following the exercises, and then watching Ariane's Pentatonic Playground video, I feel like I've got a whole new understanding of the bass. I've read several books, and watched numerous instructional videos, and Ariane's teachings have been the best. Easy to follow and understand. I wish I had this book 26 years ago. If your a bass player, buy this book. You won't regret it.

First off, I'm a total beginner. My kids bought me a bass as a 60th birthday present. After trying different websites that used "tabs" I wanted to learn more about the theory and this book had great reviews. Bought the book and haven't been disappointed. Ariane walks you through the entire process and explains it clearly. I think I learned more in a week than in 3 months. With tabs you can play a tune, this book shows you the how and why. Two things I would recommend - read (or at least flip) all the way through first. It helps familiarize you with the layout of the book. Second, as another reviewer recommended, take the book to Staples or similar and have it spiral bound. Spring for the plastic cover and stock back, all less than $10. Thanks Ariane.

Ariane Cap has written a great book here. Having played for 20 years plus, and owning over 40 bass books, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this to any beginner to intermediate player. The concept of teaching theory from the bass guitar, ends up doing 2 things that are much needed for a player, as I see it. 1. Relational understanding- you relate theory knowledge directly to the instrument in your hands, which solidifies both music theory in practice, and deepens your understanding of the bass in your hands. 2. Scales, arpeggios and the multiple patterns that emerge on the bass (and guitar) are laid out with great diagrams and explanations of their use and how they emerge from theory. There are things you come across in the book that will inspire all levels of players to review their knowledge, and incorporate those things into their practice sessions.

Superb book that will keep me busy for a while. I'm still reading and I also decided to pay for the course that goes along with it. I'm way behind on the course but hopefully I will finish sooner than later.One thing I would suggest is to take it to Fedex and get them to put a binder on it. Makes it much easier to use the book.

Recently I decided to pick up my bass and get my chops in order again after a hiatus. I bought this book because it was the only music theory book for the bass that looked like it hit the mark, and man did I hit the jackpot! I ended up buying Ari's Wall Chart, and then signing up for her 20 week course (with lifetime access) because her materials, teaching method, and style are so effective and accessible - but not at all boring even for someone like me who has a some musical experience... She starts at the beginning and lays it all out clearly so you don't need to be able to read music or tab to "get it" and does it in a clear entertaining manner. This book is worth every penny and you won't regret the purchase if you want to learn how to play the bass well and understand what you are playing better.

Ari! You rocked my world with this book. I've been playing Bass on and off for a very long time (37 years). Not at all for > the last decade. This book has re-kindled (sorry for the lame pun) my love of the instrument and has allowed me to expand my playing in much needed ways. I can't believe anyone would give you less than full marks for this culmination of knowledge most musicians guard like their daughters virginity. After posting this I am going to read what the naysayers naysay (Did he say 'naysay'?) 'Back in the day', (uh oh - here it comes. Uphill both ways to school with no shoes in the snow...) I had to amass theory knowledge at things called 'libraries' where you went to learn, but were sadly limited to the paltry music books at hand - almost always classical theory, Fux for counterpoint, harmony material if u could find it, and a spattering of Jazz - a real chore. This book states clearly, concisely and quite smartly, HOW and WHAT to practice to be an excellent bassist. The only thing in my way now is my own laziness. The best 28 bucks you could ever spend to level up your chops.

This story is all over the place! Really, I have a high tolerance for toddler books based on shows, but this is just too much. I'm donating it since I know a lot of kids are crazy about Paw Patrol, and I don't think my daughter will miss it.The plot doesn't follow the typical show outline which is fine but for the target audience I think this would just cause a lot of them to lose interest. Too many zany "and then this happened" pages to where I just think it's kind of a stressful read. No joke!

We got this book for my son when he turned 2 as he is infatuated with busses and likes Paw Patrol... is this seemed like a perfect combo! The story is cute. The illustrations are great. My son loves following along with the story and loves saying “No, Chickaletta!”

A cute story, but a little too long for my two year olds attention span. She loves Paw Patrol and reading, but this one fell a bit short.

Another fun Paw Patrol book for kids. My 2.5 year old daughter loves the story and especially the pictures. She likes to "read" it to me making up her own story sometimes. Reads like an episode of the TV show and can be shortened for younger kids when storytime is short.

Great book for our 1-3 year old who loves buses .

Megh R. Goyal, PhD, PE, is a retired professor in agricultural and biomedical engineering from the General Engineering Department in the College of Engineering at University of Puerto Rico–Mayaguez Campus; and senior acquisitions editor and senior technical editor-in-chief in agriculture and biomedical engineering for Apple Academic Press Inc. He received his BSc degree in engineering in 1971 from Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana, India; his MSc degree in 1977 and PhD degree in 1979 from the Ohio State University, Columbus; and his master of divinity degree in 2001 from Puerto Rico Evangelical Seminary, Hato Rey, Puerto Rico, USA. He spent one-year sabbatical leave in 2002–2003 at the Biomedical Engineering Department at Florida International University in Miami, Florida, USA. Since 1971, he has worked as soil conservation inspector (1971); research assistant at Haryana Agricultural University (1972–75) and Ohio State University (1975–79); research agricultural engineer/professor at the Department of Agricultural Engineering of UPRM (1979–1997); and professor in agricultural and biomedical engineering in the General Engineering Department of UPRM (1997–2012). He was the first agricultural engineer to receive the professional license in agricultural engineering in 1986 from College of Engineers and Surveyors of Puerto Rico. On September 16, 2005, he was proclaimed as "Father of Irrigation Engineering in Puerto Rico for the twentieth century" by the ASABE, Puerto Rico Section, for his pioneer work on micro irrigation, evapotranspiration, agroclimatology, and soil and water engineering. During his professional career of 45 years, he has received awards such as Scientist of the Year, Blue Ribbon Extension Award, Research Paper Award, Nolan Mitchell Young Extension Worker Award, Agricultural Engineer of the Year, Citations by Mayors of Juana Diaz and Ponce, Membership Grand Prize for ASAE Campaign, Felix Castro Rodriguez Academic Excellence, Rashtrya Ratan Award and Bharat Excellence Award and Gold Medal, Domingo Marrero Navarro Prize, Adopted Son of Moca, Irrigation Protagonist of UPRM, and Man of Drip Irrigation by Mayor of Municipalities of Mayaguez/Caguas/Ponce and Senate/Secretary of Agriculture of ELA, Puerto Rico. He has authored more than 200 journal articles and textbooks, including Elements of Agroclimatology (Spanish) by UNISARC, Colombia, and two Bibliographies on Drip Irrigation. Apple Academic Press Inc. (AAP) has published his books, namely Biofluid Dynamics of Human Body, Management of Drip/Trickle or Micro Irrigation, Evapotranspiration: Principles and Applications for Water Management, Sustainable Micro Irrigation Design Systems for Agricultural Crops: Practices and Theory, Biomechanics of Artificial Organs and Prostheses, and Scientific and Technical Terms in Bioengineering and Biotechnology. This is largely a collection of personal essays so the takeaway for me is really just having the privilege to hear very personal stories of spiritual journeys, mostly told by Unitarian ministers. I say privilege because a free and open search for truth and meaning isn't always pretty or comfortable and these shard stories talk about those journeys with humility and honesty.

This book offers UU members insight to the Buddhist practice within the congregation. For Buddhists seeking to explore the Dharma in action, the benefits for becoming a UU member are well articulated.

A great book - poorly formatted as an ebook for the price though. Lots of spacing and font- conversion errors. When will Kindle start enforcing higher standards for epublication format? Seems like we have no recourse when this happens.

This book was both a delightful read and an eye-opener. If you've ever wondered what it would be like to actually use Buddhist practices to deepen or broaden Christian or Humanist practices, this book is for you. Each chapter is a short essay by a different person who has done just that, mostly Unitarian Universalist ministers of the last half century.As a UU who has read about Zen Buddhism and seen Theravada Buddhism first hand (my first wife was from northeast Thailand), I've always been curious about Buddhism, admiring its humility, its sense of inclusion, and devotion to the basic human condition. But I had no idea that the Buddhism popularized by Alan Watts and D.T. Suzuki in American was actually heavily influenced by Unitarianism, which made its way to Japan in the latter half of the 19th century. This amazing story - the stuff of a good movie - begins with the 1841 shipwreck of five Japanese fisherman, their rescue by an American ship, and the journey of one of them, Nakahama Manjiro, who eventually returns to Japan, steeped in Unitarianism, avoiding the execution that was the lot of Catholic missionaries, by his willingness to step on an image of the Virgin Mary.Most of the rest of the book is about how individual UUs developed practices of Buddhist meditation and mindfulness under the guidance of mentors or masters from different Buddhist traditions. This has generally worked well when individuals have engaged in regular Buddhist retreats and local support groups, but it has been more difficult to fit Buddhist practices into the format of traditional Protestant church services. Moreover, the chapter by a Chinese Buddhist remarks that these demanding and individualistic American Buddhist practices are only a small part of the Buddhism, such as Pure Land Buddhism, practiced by most Asians. In the popular Asian tradition, temples are always open for people to receive blessings and earn merit by coming in with alms for the monks, or offerings for various deities or ancestors, or to participate in chantings or celebrations, or to consult with the monks, or to help out with various tasks, etc.For example, my first wife often took offerings to Nahng Torwahnee, the earth goddess from a pre-Buddhist spirit tradition, and was a regular helper at the Thai Wat. My youngest daughter recently had a UU wedding in one location, then three wedding ceremonies (Buddhist, Lao, and Thai) in one day at the Wat, with the monks leading the Buddhist ceremony in Pali, while elders led the Lao and Thai ceremonies. I noted that Nahng Torwahnee was invoked in the Lao ceremony, which included the blessing of tying strings around the wrist. Such diverse and inclusive Buddhist traditions will probably be reserved for ethnic groups, along with the institution of the Wat, despite the need for more practices of generosity, devotion, and community building in UU circles. Instead the trend, as documented in this book, is toward UU influenced philosophical and meditative practices from Buddhism gradually becoming part of mainstream spiritual practices under the leadership of ministers and others who are developing new spiritual communities. This book may even inspire you to join this movement.

This is an excellent booklet for recording sheet music. The paper is very durable and can withstand multiple erasures. The binding and cover are also durable enough for regular transport and use. The booklet includes basic music notation and an Italian term glossary in the rear. It's a great book for musicians or musical students. Very happy with the purchase and I definitely plan to order more.

I’m a first-year music major. I like the size of the staves and the size of the book itself. I can take it with me wherever. I sometimes practice on the bus. The only con is that I have tried using a fountain pen and a rollerball pen, and the ink bleeds onto other pages. I might buy this product again, but I favour these writing utensils because they are comfortable and easy to write the notes cleanly. So, I am in the market for thicker paper and maybe a book that offers more pages. Other than that, it's a notebook.

Nice! Normal sheet music on white paper (doesn't look like the example sheet music on the cover). Nice bindingNow that I have it, I almost wish I had bought sheet music with rings rather than with a normal binder, as it doesn't lay flat - but it's not this book's fault, but just the curse of playing piano, I guess - almost all sheet music comes in booklets like this one and has to be bent and folded and pushed in order to lie flat while you're playing.

I think it's the right layout for me as a general purpose musical idea book. I got it several weeks ago and I use it at my chair and other times in my room, I'm going to buy two more right now so I'll have them with me all the time. Good quality, very happy.

I agree with the other reviews about the lines being small for hand writing the notes, but I write small so that doesn't bother me! It's similar to what you would see in a printed music book.

This notebook has a page for notes and a page for musical notation in evey place. Useful to study or composing music.

I was looking for a blank music sheet notebook for my 11yr old daughter for her violin lessons. She picked this one herself so I went ahead and purchased it. Arrived super quick just in time for her exams. She loved it and is very pleased. Sheets are the perfect thickness so ink won't pass through other side in case she uses ink. (Which she loves). I wish the pages were the same antique color as the cover pages, they are not, but over all its a sturdy and of great quality.

Its a nice booklet. I thought that the pages would be yellow like they look like on the front of the book,but there white. Its also not a ring binder.
